Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of UML Studio (the "UMLEditor" web app, "the app"), developed and published by Yavuz Yunusoğlu ("we", "us"). By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app

UML Studio is a free editor for UML class diagrams and flowcharts. It runs in your browser and does not require an account. Google Drive sync is optional.

Open source license

The app's source code is published under the MIT License. Your rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the code are set out in that license. If these terms and the MIT License conflict regarding the source code, the MIT License applies.

Your content

You own the diagrams, code and other content you create with the app. We do not claim any rights to your content, and we cannot see it: it is stored in your browser and, if you choose, in your own Google Drive.

You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups. Clearing your browser data deletes the diagrams stored on that device.

Google Drive

If you connect Google Drive, the app accesses only the files it created, as described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's terms. You can disconnect at any time by signing out in the app.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law or to try to harm, overload or interfere with the app, GitHub Pages or Google's services.

AI-generated code

The app's source code was written with the help of an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and has not been reviewed line by line by a human. Check generated C# code and exported files before you rely on them.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, always available, or that your data will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Changes to the app and these terms

We may change, update or stop providing the app at any time. If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
